The Truth About Before and After Pics

by Jamie Smellie August 20, 2014

We’ve all seen the photos on Instagram, Pinterest and Facebook. Before and after pictures have been taking over social media with hashtags like #transformationtuesday which already has a whopping 12 million posts on Instagram.

A lot of people find these pictures motivating and we do not want to discount all the hard work people have put into their health. But beware! Not all before and after shots are exactly what they seem.

Take for example this experiment by fitness blogger MelVFitness that went viral a couple of months ago. Mel created these before and after shots in 15 min, all by adjusting lighting, changing her posture, putting in hair extensions and wearing a properly fitting black bathing suit. The results are actually very convincing!

We’ve noticed that a lot of the other Teatox and Detox companies are using this same tactic to sell their products. Online stores are riddled with before and after shots to compel potential buyers to buy their product with implied promises of amazing weight loss results.

Some of these stores simply post photos of a woman’s flat abdomen with their companies name written across it in marker hoping that this will deceive customers into attributing their product with being thinner.

We want to take this concept and spin it on it’s head. Don’t buy into this trickery! At The Teatox Company we don’t believe in silly before and after photos to sell our products. You should do our Teatox if you want to live a healthier lifestyle and get a kick start in the process. Although weight loss is a natural side effect of living a healthier life it is not the be all end all goal to our programs.

We are made by health care professionals and realize the importance of changing your life for the longterm. We’ve seen it time and again, short term gains are not the way to get thin and stay thin. If you follow our program and focus on changing lifestyle habits while getting a great detox boost from our tea you will be much better off in the long run.

Be smart about your health goals and have realistic expectations, we can help you get there! Most of all, be critical of everything you see on the internet!
